Nephelometry Readers

Nephelometry is a method to detect particles in liquid samples. The principle is to measure forwarded scattered light when a laser beam passes through a sample and the light is deflected by the particles. Compared to turbidimetry, which measures the loss of light when it passes straight through a well, the forward and side scatter technology with an angle up to 80 degrees used in nephelometry outperforms simple turbidimetry measurements. Most common applications include automated drug solubility screening, microbial growth kinetics, flocculation, and the monitoring of polymerization and precipitation.
